Delhi Blast: Unraveling the Terror Conspiracy

Suspects' Plan Unveiled
Intelligence agencies have revealed a shocking plot: the suspects had allegedly planned to prepare around 32 old vehicles with explosives, aiming for coordinated attacks across multiple locations. This revelation underscores the potential scale of the terror module's operations.
The Al Falah Medical College Connection
The investigation has led authorities to the Al Falah Medical College in Faridabad, where a boys' hostel served as a meeting point for the accused. Room number 13, belonging to Muzammil Shakeel, a key associate of Dr Umar Un Nabi, became a hub for plotting the attacks. The police have cordoned off the room, recovering chemicals and digital devices, including pen drives.
Explosive Preparations
The group, including Dr Muzammil, Dr Adil, and Dr Umar, collectively raised around ₹20 lakh in cash, which was used to purchase over 20 quintals of NPK fertiliser. This fertiliser, along with ammonium nitrate and nitric oxide, was used to prepare IEDs. The suspects' activities were coordinated through a Signal app group, further highlighting the sophistication of their operations.
Unraveling the Suspects' Network
The investigation has expanded to UP's Prayagraj, where the academic background of the accused, Dr Shaheen, is under scrutiny. The suspects' network appears to have extended beyond Delhi, with the discovery of a severed hand in New Lajpat Rai Market, near the blast site, and the recovery of a body part for forensic examination.
Security Enhancements
In response to the blast, security has been tightened on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir. The authorities are also on the lookout for a third car believed to be linked to the Red Fort blast case, adding another layer of complexity to the investigation.

Congress leader Rakesh Sinha has questioned the ceasefire with Pakistan following the blast, emphasizing the need for a strong response to terrorism. The BJP leader Pratul Shah Deo praised the security agencies for foiling a major terror plot, highlighting the importance of vigilance.
